1. Who we are

celebs.ai is an AI-character platform: chat with AI personalities, a content feed, and courses. Data requests: privacy@celebs.ai.

2. Data we collect

  • Account: email, username, password hash (Argon2id), interface language.
  • Chat: messages you send to AI characters and their replies; conversation metadata.
  • Character memory: with your consent (consent banner), facts from your conversations are stored in long-term memory so characters remember you across sessions. Declining consent disables personal memory.
  • Onboarding: your answers about interests (used for recommendations).
  • Usage: subscription tier, message counters, billing events, character follows.

3. How we use data

To provide chat and character memory, generate content, deliver courses and recommendations, process payments, and improve the service. We do not sell your data.

4. Third-party processors

  • opencode.ai (LLM provider) — chat message processing by DeepSeek models.
  • Hindsight (self-hosted) — long-term memory service on our infrastructure.
  • Pollinations.ai — on-demand image generation.
  • edge-tts (Microsoft) — speech synthesis for voice replies.
  • Stripe / YooKassa — payment processing (when enabled).
  • PostgreSQL, Redis, MinIO — self-hosted storage infrastructure.

By sending messages you understand they are processed by the third-party model provider.

5. Retention

Account and chat data are kept while your account is active. Daily-limit counters expire within 48 hours. After account deletion, data is removed within 30 days.

6. Your rights (GDPR)

  • Export: Settings → "Your data" downloads all your data as JSON.
  • Erasure: Settings → delete account irreversibly removes your account, messages, and follows.
  • Memory consent: withdraw via the memory banner or the hindsight-consent localStorage key.
  • Objection & complaints: contact privacy@celebs.ai or your local supervisory authority.

7. Cookies

We use only strictly necessary cookies: session (session_id) and authentication (auth_token). No analytics or advertising cookies. Banner preferences are stored locally.

8. Children

The service is not directed to children under 13 (under 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect their data.

9. Changes

We will post any changes on this page with an updated date.
